You might of heard about micro-blogging, but whats it about? Much like a blog webpage where authors submit commentary, information, pictures, vidoes or whatever may be on their mind, micro-blogging is on a much smaller, individual scale.

Anyone can subscribe to popular micro-blogging sites such as Twitter or Jaiku, they allow people to stay to date with you and what is going on in your life as long as you regularly post or submit images. In a learning enviroment, your tutor can use micro-blogging to inform people with any changes or updates such as a cancellation of a tutorial, or release recources for students to use.

The clear advantage of micro-blogging is that it’s easy, effective and efficient, viewing a tutors micro-blog can save alot of time, that would otherwise be spent traveling. However as the name suggests, micro-blogging is limited in terms of  actual and aggregate file size.
